This is where it all started. Our story began in the heart of Lockhart, SC. For generations, Lockhart First Baptist Church has been a cornerstone for connection—a place where people supported one another like family and sought to honor God together. Severe structural damage led us to leave our original building in 2020.

In 2021, after much prayer, we relocated to our Family Life Center—a repurposed Air Force Armory. We began our journey in the gymnasium during Phase 1 of our renovations, later moving to the rifle range while the main gym was transformed into our sanctuary. With a little paint, a lot of patience, and countless prayers, this historic building has been lovingly shaped into a welcoming place of worship and community.

Today, We are so blessed to say we have a sanctuary for worship and learning and a dedicated children's and youth wing designed to help the next generation grow in Christ. We are humbled by how far God has brought our small-town church, and we are filled with excitement for what is yet to come. His hand has blessed every step of this process, and we see His work in the lives of our congregation now more than ever. It is our prayer that Lockhart First Baptist Church will always remain a light in our community a place where everyone feels welcome in the family of God.
